Youtube Background

YouTube was founded in 2005 by Chad Hurley, Steve Chen and Jawed Karim, all employees from the beginning been founded PayPal. YouTube is the leading online video, sharing original videos worldwide through a Web experience. YouTube allows people to easily upload and video clips over the Internet through websites, mobile devices, blogs and e-mail.

YouTube received funding from Sequoia Capital in November 2005 and was officially a month later in December. Chad Hurley and Steve Chen proceeded to become the first members of the YouTube management team and currently serve as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer respectively. YouTube has numerous partnerships deals with content providers such as CBS, BBC, Universal Music Group, Sony Music Group, Warner Music Group, NBA, The Sundance Channel and many more hit.
In March 2007, Viacom's much talked about $ 1 billion lawsuit against Google and YouTube. In a statement, why they were formal legal action, Viacom said: "We must turn to the courts to steal Google and YouTube, and artists continue to value of compensation for the significant damage they have caused will be prevented." The action was preceded by removing a takedown request from Viacom ordered YouTube to over 100,000 clips from the stable of networks.

In June 2007, YouTube launched local versions in Brazil, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Poland, Spain and Great Britain also in June, Apple's iPhone started a YouTube program expanded YouTube hacking into the mobile market after its November - 2006 Partnership with Verizon VCAST service.

During the summer and autumn of 2007 major announcements were made on the advertising models for YouTube. Advertisers are charged per impression, and the resulting revenue will be shared with the clip creator.In October, Google announced the inclusion of YouTube videos in its AdSense product. Site owners can choose from AdSense Videos from certain content providers, and ads will be served contextually, as they relate to the page or the video either. Resulting revenue will be shared between content providers, website operators and Google.
In October 2007, YouTube announced a new service called "YouTube Video Identification" to owners to help protect their content. With the service complete copies of their respective owners upload content to the Service, and complex algorithms to YouTube's library of clips to see if a match is applied to the uploaded content. Rights holders can then either remove YouTube videos in question allow YouTube to serve the advertisements together with the content and split the resulting revenue.
