The Importance of Tagging

One of the easiest ways to get more exposure and views of your YouTube videos is good tags. Tagging is an easy thing to do but can be difficult to learn. There are a lot of playing around involved, a lot of trial and error. I will give the basics in this blog for you to start taking a blow to your own videos.
Step 1 Determine your audienceBefore you can even start marking you need keywords, and before you can choose the keywords you need to determine your audience. Who will be viewing this video? Who is this video for? What kind of people will find your video and how will they find? Placing you in the shoes of your audience is the best way to begin to determine who will view your video.
What do you want to do is exactly as if you are the ideal audience for your video and try to imagine what they would type into the search bar on YouTube. Remember, YouTube is owned by Google and works in exactly the same sought. If your video is on the buying and selling on ebay iPods - you're not going to title and tag your video "iPods Buying and selling on Ebay." You can title - "How to Make Money Buying and selling Ipods on Ebay." Now we have more or less the keyword and phrases that we are going to tag.
Step 2 Choose your keywordsWhen it comes time to choose to be concise is key. Do not beat around the bush and not try to throw in keywords for the sake of obtaining the additional traffic. Choose your keywords and stick with them, and in optimizing around them. Let's take a look at this example again the iPod. "How to Make Money Buying and selling Ipods on Ebay" is a good title to use. It is likely that it will be a viewer as typing in the search bar. So where do I enter tags, andwhere can I throw in the phrases that you can ask.
Title: The keywords most important and phrases should go here. Focus on exactly what the audience will ask about and throw them in there. For example, we can have the same title: "How to Make Money Buying and Selling on eBay Ipods" right there.
Tags: In this section, we will re-emphasize the important key words and discard in a few others to help scoop relevant traffic. A couple of things to remember here is that you do not need to re-emphasize the title of your set, some people like to do to assure themselves that they are marking, but in reality it does nothing YouTube will return your keywords from the first title. Here we can see additional keywords such as "tutorial", "guide" and "help" have been added along the side because "how" it is other relevant terms that may arise.
Description: In this section, I usually post a link to my blog I am incorporating video or an affiliate product that is for the video. Of course, you should put a relevant here if it is needed. As for the real SEO, I usually throw in an excerpt from the blog or a short paragraph explaining what the video is about. You do not need to go too far here, but it is smart to include a paragraph or two sentences containing keywords and alternative forms of them. For example, you could include something like: "This is a video on how to make money with eBay by buying and reselling iPods To purchase an iPod, I would recommend looking for the cheapest price from a seller high value .. " If you notice, I have included alternative forms of buying and selling. You must do this for all important keywords.
Step 3 Making Things Not too complicatedIt can be easy to drown in unnecessary pain by trying to optimize your videos. Just remember to choose keywords based on what your audience will come. Optimize these keywords in your title, tags and description. Keep it simple, there is no need to throw everything but the kitchen sink here, marking brief is the way to go!
